Jahorina Economic Forum – Cooperation between countries crucial for development

Foreign Investors Council representatives attended a two-day Jahorina Economic Forum 2016, which brought together 300 experts of modern economy, local entrepreneurs, foreign investors and representatives of the largest economies in the world, including 60 eminent panelists.

The Forum has begun at the Termag Hotel with the discussion at the plenary session “Multipolar World and Economy – Position of the Western Balkans Countries” in which the economists and politicians, including Republika Srpska President Milorad Dodik, a Croat Member of the BiH Presidency, Dragan Covic, Russian Ambassador to BiH, Petr Ivantsov and Head of the EU Delegation to BiH and EU special representative in BiH, Lars Gunnar Wigemark, discussed position, location and new requirements ahead the economies of the region and politicians.

FIC Board Member, Mr. Valentin Ilievski, CEO Messer BH Gas d.o.o. & Messer Tehnoplin d.o.o., took part at the panel discussion on “Macroeconomic policies – more or less of state?” providing overview on steps and reforms necessary for attracting foreign investments as well as measures for improvement of economic stability of the country. Forum was organized by the RS Association of Economists “SWOT” under sponsorship of the RS President, Mr. Milorad Dodik.
