Foreign Investors Council in BiH (FIC) together with Foreign Trade Chamber of BiH will organize a webinar entitled “Challenges of employers in the field of labor law & personal data protection during COVID-19 pandemic”, on Thursday, April 23, 2020, starting at 10 am via Zoom online platform.
During the webinar, we will discuss various issues of interest to employers that have become relevant as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic, which brings with it the challenge of survival in the market for many companies. In this regard, the following topics will be presented at the webinar:
€˘ How can employers organize their business during a pandemic (following the orders / recommendations of the competent authorities)?
€˘ What particular attention should be paid to pandemic workers’ rights and obligations?
€˘ How to resolve the legal status of workers if the circumstances of the business have changed in terms of the need for labor or changing working conditions?
€˘ To what extent can employers collect and process personal information of workers related to the health and other personal circumstances of workers and their family members during a pandemic?
The aim of the webinar is to improve knowledge in the field of labor law and personal data protection, and for participants to exchange experiences in this area at a time when we are facing great challenges. The webinar is intended for workers, entrepreneurs, directors and managers.
The lecturer at the webinar is Ms. Lana Sarajlic, a lawyer and a member of the FIC Board of Directors. Lana Sarajlic is a lawyer working with Wolf Theiss with years of experience. She is a member of the FBiH Bar Association and the Regional Bar Association Sarajevo. Lana graduated from the Faculty of Law of the University of Sarajevo, and received her Master’s Degree in European Studies from the Center for Interdisciplinary Studies at the University of Sarajevo in cooperation with the University of Bologna. Lana has advised numerous domestic and international clients in all aspects of corporate, contract and employment law, and has represented clients in some of the largest transactions in Bosnia and Herzegovina in the past few years. Lana has many years of experience advising clients on compliance of their business with current regulations, with a particular focus on labor law and personal data protection, and has participated as a lecturer and panelist at numerous conferences and seminars in these areas.
