FIC General Assembly appointed new members of the Board of Directors

Foreign Investors Council in BiH (FIC) held the 9th General Assembly Session for 2022 in Sarajevo yesterday.

FIC General Assembly gathered members of the FIC who, in addition to adopting internal reports for 2021, discussed the next activities for the current year, and elected the President of the Council and new members of the Board. At the ninth FIC General Assembly Session, Mr. Branimir Muidža, long-time president of FIC and General Manager of the Kakanj Cement Factory/Heidelberg Cement Group, was re-elected by unanimous decision.

In addition to Muidža, Valentin Ilievski (Messer Group), Manuela Naessl (EBRD), Stjepan Kumrić (Lukavac Cement), Mubera Brković (PwC), Bojana Škrobić Omerović (Networks), Amir Salkanović (ProCredit bank) were elected to the new Board of Directors, Mirha Krivdić (Raiffeisen bank), Dejan Jokić (Mtel), Sena Šaranović (ArcelorMittal Zenica), Miloš Bošnjaković (Lykos Balkan Metals), Nedžad Gušić (BBI), Dina Duraković (DMB Legal), Arijana Maksimičuk (Telemax) and Goran Cerovina (NELT).

I am extremely pleased with the response of all members and their overall contribution to the work of the FIC, and the fact that we have increased the number of members by more than 20 percent in the past two years, especially during the pandemic, indicates that members recognized the quality and importance of associations in order to together encourage and create a more favorable business environment in BiH – said Muidža.

 

In the past 16 years, continuous activities to remove and identify barriers key to further economic development and investment incentives by supporting reforms, FIC has positioned itself as a legitimate representative of investors in BiH and a main partner and interlocutor to government officials and coordinator of advocacy and initiation of change for economic development. and attracting investment.

Through our mission, we advocate the improvement of the investment climate and the overall business environment in BiH, for the general benefit of future economic development. VSI affirms the good practices of its members and strives to bring world economic trends as close as possible to the BiH business community, and within that, offers solutions to the BiH authorities in order to overcome obstacles encountered by BiH investors in their business. Our VSI member companies are the best possible diplomatic ambassadors of BiH, whose positive examples of successful business can be a magnet for other serious investors. – said Muidža.

The Foreign Investors Council (FIC) is the most important, independent non-profit business association that has been the only voice of investors in Bosnia and Herzegovina since 2006, bringing together 70 respectable foreign and domestic companies that have invested in BiH so far, more than 9 billion KM, and employ more than 20,000 BH. citizens.
